    Apple Upside Down Cake

I did it!! I completed my first race! WOOO!! The race I participated in was called the Tavern Trot and all the proceeds went to Alex’s Lemonade Stand, which I just love. Anything I can do to help out kids with cancer, or anyone with cancer I am all about it. It was actually a 3.5 mile race. I thought it was a 5k, but apparently it was a little farther. So here were my results: Ran 3.5 miles in 33:06 (9:28 pace) 16th out of 81 in my age group 66th out of 409 for females I am so proud of myself!!!!! This is the one time that I…

    Watermelon Black Bean Salsa

How was your 4th ofΒ  July?!Β  Do anything fun? Patrick and I went up to Boston to see the “Boston Pops”, aka their firework celebration on the 4th of July. We had some…interesting events that happened while we were up there haha. Just to list a few: We road the T (subway) just about wherever we went. It is convenient and cheap, so why not right? Well whilst we were on the T, there was an older gentleman (perhaps I shouldn’t call him that, just keep reading) who was having quite a sneezing attack. Such an attack that the majority of those sitting around him moved down a little in…

    Quinoa Flakes

I have been totally neglecting my blog here. It is terrible and I owe an apology to RavieNomNoms. My sincerest of apologies, dear friend! My life has been hectic to say the least in the past month and I just doesn’t seem to be letting up AT ALL. Work has been…well to put it lightly. AWFUL! SAP is literally making me want to change my career path at the moment. I am so stressed at work all the time which just makes for some really really long days. I am sure the company will get through it, but right now…it is just frustrating. The new house, which I fall in…

The fact that I will be in Disney at the end of this month! GAH!! You have no idea how much I am anticipating this vacation. I totally need it… Work has been SO stressful lately that all I want to do is run away. Stupid SAP.…

    Pancakes for Dinner

Thanks everyone! You all have been so sweet and supportive of Patrick and I with our new house. We are so very excited about it all and thank you all for being excited with us! Every time I look at it I get so excited now! I have to admit that when we first found out that they accepted our offer it was kind of a mix of emotions. I mean…when you buy your first house, it almost like you are saying goodbye to your childhood. I have been with my parents now for a long time and I will be going out on my own now, well with Patrick…

    Pineapple Smoothie

Welp, we are back to more “normal” weather for this time of year. Back down to the low 50s instead of the low 80s. It was SO nice having a taste of the warm weather though. I mean the fact that we have had little to no snow this season? Kinda makes me want to cry, but I would much rather it be nice outside than have it be cold with no snow. I know sounds weird right? But… What is the fun of it being super cold out if there is no snow to play in? I would much rather there be pretty snow to look at or play…

    Blueberry Pomegranate Muffins

1 week down of the detox. Doing well! I baked some muffins yesterday when I had my break for Sunday Dinner. 1 week to go and then I will be all done. I am going strong. Although I do miss having a piece of toast or oatmeal with my breakfast haha πŸ˜‰ I have a confession… I.am.obsessed.with.Pinterest. Like obsessed! I happened to stumble across it once or twice and then have seen a lot of foodies using it and then had a coworker mention it, so I HAD to check it out. If you haven’t ever, do so! Especially if you like pictures, it is like heaven for anyone who…

    Celebrate with Cranberry Champagne

Christmas is just around the corner folks! I mean think about it. Christmas is 12 days (thanks Becci πŸ˜‰ ) from now. 12 days! Holy moly…I have just about everything done. I worked on my Christmas cards the other day, I just need to get them stamped and signed and sent. CHECK! Christmas gifts, except for a few here and there things are done and wrapped. CHECK! Oh! Btdubs, I have a story for you all. My mom was telling me about going to the grocery store to get some things for her Christmas party she just had. As she was parking, she sat in her car a few minutes…

    Orange Scented Buttermilk Scones

I feel like I haven’t posted in like a week…wait, I haven’t! haha…things have been SO busy! Thanksgiving was wonderful and very low key, which I enjoyed VERY much. I was able to enjoy it with my parents, Patrick, and some of our neighbors and it was a very lovely, and stuffed, Thanksgiving. I also was able to meet Patrick’s bother and his wife. We went out for dinner in NYC. Very interesting place we went to called the Gotham Bar & Grill. A tad on the expensive side (*ahem* with tip about $600 for 4 people, just a TAD on the expensive side πŸ˜‰ ). It was really nice…

    Whole Wheat Waffles with Strawberries

This week is Thanksgiving and I cannot tell you how excited I am. I love the holidays! Like love them. The parties, the family, the food, the snow. Just love it. I have a lot of exciting things happening in the next couple months. Not only is it going to be Thanksgiving this week, but I am also meeting Patrick’s bother (Justin) and his wife (Lindsay) the day after the holiday. We are meeting in NYC, which should be fun. Maybe go see the Christmas tree in Rockefeller center and have a nice fancy dinner in the big apple. If you haven’t ever seen the Christmas tree in NYC, you…
