    Caramel Apple Cookies

Happy Thursday everyone! Although it isnt so happy for me. I am stuck at home with a double ear infection as well as a sinus infection. Needless to say, I am not feeling the best. I think it may have something to do with the Rugged Maniac that I completed this past weekend. My 3rd and final race down!  However, I don’t think the ice cold pools of dirty water were good for me. Seems kind of strange that only 2 days later I came down with some pretty serious infections. Hmmm…linked perhaps? I think so. The race was hard and definitely physically demanding. A step above the Warrior Dash…

    Lemon Glazed Blueberry Muffins

Good dreary Monday morning to you all! New England has a forecast of about 6 straight days of rain…I mean I know it is Spring and Mother Nature tends to like rain around this time of year, but 6 straight days of rain is just plain brutal. The only good part about it being so wet, cold, and rainy outside is that I get to stay inside any make lots of goodies. I know most people really hate rainy days and while I am not a huge fan; I can at least appreciate the down time to do things inside the house, like cook/bake! These muffins I made this weekend…

    Water Cake

Dear New England Drivers, It is not necessary to drive 12 mph to work when there is a little precipitation on the ground. It is also not safe to SLAM on your brakes as often as you do in slippery conditions. If you just use the pedal on the right to make the car accelerate…you should be good to go. Sincerely, A fellow New England Commuter Holy cow, heeellllooo ice storm! I drove in this morning and it took me an hour and 20 minutes to get into work. It normally takes me about 35 minutes haha. WOW! Thanks Mother New England! Thank goodness I am inside now, for all…

Good Monday Morning to you all! I am super sleepy this morning and I have no idea why…I hate mornings like that where no matter what you do you still seem to be tired. This weekend was pretty low key. My parents took me to an early birthday dinner at a restaurant called Mill on the River. What a fantastic dinner this was! My dad is going to be out of town the entire week, and since my birthday is on Wednesday we thought it would be a better idea to go out the weekend before my birthday to celebrate. BOY did we! The food was absolutely outstanding, I mean…normally…

Birthday and Save the Tatas cupcakes!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! The weather here was so fabulous this weekend. A little bit on the cooler side, but overall extremely nice. I love fall weekends! This past weekend one of my bf’s friends threw a surprise party for his wife’s 30th birthday. I told him that I would bring cupcakes but I wanted to make them a little more personal for her because she is such a sweet girl. So I asked her husband what her favorite color was. He found out for me and told me it was pink. Perfect! Not only was I so excited to make pink cupcakes but it is also…

Bunnies, lambs, and chick cupcakes OH MY!

Now, these pictures are from Easter time…but considering that I just started this blog and the cupcakes I made look just as delicious as they did then…we are gonna show you some of the baking I did. I found the ideas for this on Betty Crocker.com, I get emails sent to me every day from a lot of different cooking sites because honestly…it can really give you some great ideas! Note: everything below is from simple cake mix and candies you can buy at any local store (have food coloring on hand as well). Ears a construction paper, nose is a red hot, whiskers are twizzlers, eyes are chocolate chips…
