Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies

It’s cookie time! I was in SUCH a baking mood this weekend and I have no idea why. So I decided to try out a new recipe and man-o-man did it turn out well. I am one of those people who love simple cookies. Chocolate chip and oatmeal are two of my favorites. I wanted to make something that was simple but had a little extra ‘something’. Peanut butter! πŸ™‚

Ingredients for Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies:

1/2 cup butter softened (aka 1 stick)

1/2 cup peanut butter (I used creamy)

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

2 eggs

2 tablespoons light corn syrup

2 tablespoons water

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (wheat would work too)

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups semisweet chocolate chunks

Preheat oven to 375Β°

combine butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth

Beat eggs into the mixture, one at a time. Then stir in corn syrup, water, and vanilla.

it should look like this after you beat in eggs and other ingredients
Add baking soda, salt, and flour (add flour in 1/2 cup at a time)
Add chocolate chunks
I would just like to tell you how delicious this dough is, hehe

On a non-greased cookie pan place spoonfuls of cookie dough about 1-1/2″ apart.

Place in oven and depending on how large your droplets are cook between 10-13 minutes. Or until the edges of your cookies are golden.

And now you know what to do! Enjoy them!

Hope you all are having a GREAT weekend!!
