Foodie Pen Pals – May Edition

Another month has come and gone my friends!

Man things move fast don’t they? It is unreal to me how fast times moves as I get older. Craziness!

Soooo, guess what?! I am at Disney right now! YEUP! It finally came and I am enjoying every second of it. Clearly I will have lots of pictures to share with you when I get back (I am posting this from my phone).

Anyways, let’s get right down to it shall we?

This is May and it is time for Foodie Pen Pal fun!

First I wanted to tell you all to make sure and check out Lavonne Fernandini at Pink Horsehoes. I sent my package to her this month and her blog is super cute. I love her little signature at the bottom of her posts 🙂

I got MY box from Emilie Carr over at Emilie’s Enjoyables. Let me tell you something…she did an amazing job! She even baked me something homemade AND sent me the recipe, how sweet is that?

As you look through the things she gave me you can see there seems to be a theme no? S’MORES!

First off…who doesn’t like S’mores. Let’s be real here…

Does anyone not?? If you don’t…well, you’re just weird. 😉

I remember so many summer nights having S’mores with my family. I was a little strange and picky when I was a child so I normally had the S’mores without the chocolate (I know blasphemy right?), I gladly eat the chocolate now.

I think my most favorite part about this package was the homemade S’mores KrispieTreats.

She told me in her letter that they were amazing addicting…man was she right!

Between Patrick and I (with a little help from my dad), they were gone in less than 3 days haha.

I would take that as a compliment!

So yummy!

AND, she was such a sweetheart and sent me the recipe for them!

To be quite honest I am not sure if that is a good or bad thing having that recipe. I have a feeling they might get made again and then devoured just like they were this time! hehe

Other things that I LOVE that she sent were the Luna bars. I love Luna bars. They keep me going most days at work. Or if I have softball and dance.

They are super good for you, organic and just delicious! If you have never tried them before, definitely do.

You can find them at Target if you aren’t sure where to get them. They are normally located in the health food section near the vitamins and such.

Other goodie treats included a chocolate bar with graham cracker in the center and a little piece of chocolate caramel fudge with marshmallow in the center and then the S’mores trail mix.

I am telling you…I got spoiled!

Thank you so much Emilie for the fabulous package! I am so happy that we got paired and thanks so much for the recipe! Definitely will be using it.

Now, I am back off to play with the Disney characters!

Have a fabulous week!
