Friday Fun

Hello Everyone!

Happy Friday!

Are you happy it is Friday? Because I am! No joke. I just got back from vacation, which I will get to, and I feel like I need another one already!!

Also, big shout out to mama dukes today! It is her 50th birthday!

Happy 50th Birthday Mom!

Isn’t she pretty?

She is one of those people who doesn’t care that she just turned 50 today. She has never really kept track of how old she is, she always forgets actually. I constantly hear, “wait…how old am I again?” haha πŸ˜‰

In other exciting news…

Patrick and I closed on our house! It is official people, we are homeowners!

I am so excited and nervous and stressed and all sorts of other emotions too all at once haha.

We are definitely excited about the things to come, but now the real work is going to start. We are making all sorts of lists on priorities and budgets. Man…I grew up way to fast!

Also, I don’t know if you all have noticed but I completely changed my website design. I have been tweaking with it a lot. I have added a tab up at the top for our house updates. I will be having update on the renovations and the before and after pics. Exciting huh?

Please let me know what you think of the new website design!

I will be keeping you all up to date on what is going on with the house and all that. Don’t you worry!

So wanna see some pictures from Disney?

Guess how many pictures we took…just guess!

1200…yes one thousand two hundred. *Click*Click*Click* <—sound of Patrick and I at Disney πŸ˜‰

We were able to do all sorts of fun things. We got to go to Animal Kingdom, SeaWorld (which I loved), Magical Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot.

If I had to pick a favorite, I think it would be tough between Magical Kingdom and SeaWorld. Have any of you been on the roller coaster Manta at SearWorld? It will rock your world!

I am a big roller coaster person, so I loved all the rides! πŸ™‚ I could seriously ride them all over and over again!

Man, how many great places are there to eat at Epcot? Holy cow, amazing food. It was so neat to see all the different countries represented!

We ended up eating at one of the Japanese places and then in Italy. The group of people I was with ordered SO much food. The waitress was very skeptical! “Are you suuure you want to order all of this?”

Yes please, we just walked 10 miles today! hehe

Overall, my Disney experience was rather enjoyable. It was kinda icky because it rained the majority of the time we were there.

Normally when I have been in Florida it rains every afternoon for about 20 minutes and then it goes away.

Well, with the tropical storm that was down there while we were, we got downpours for more than 20 minutes at a time. Most of Magical Kingdom was pretty darn wet.

We made the best of it though and I definitely want to go back, I think it is so much fun, even if I am 27.

It was awesome to be able to feel like a kid again. I mean how often do you get to eat lunch with Pooh and friends! That’s right I met Pooh, Tigger, Eor, and Piglet. haha, I am such a nerd!

I have so many other pictures, but I seriously cannot fit them all on here. If you are friends with me on Facebook, they are all posted there!

Also, can I please tell you how much I love skin tone shoes right now?? I am sporting my favorite pair today.

Loveee it!

Anyways, that is all for today.

I have plans for a very cute post next week. One of my friends is having her bacholerette this weekend and I have been tasked with making the cookies…wait until you see what I made!

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Happy birthday to you mom and congrats on your new house! Your Disney trip looks like it was a ton of fun. Sorry to hear about the rain. And I do like your new design. I’ve been wanting to change mine for a while too. I wish there was a preview button for WordPress instead of having the changes go live as you make them.

Your mom is so gorgeous–I hope I look half as good when I’m 50! πŸ™‚ Your home looks absolutely beautiful. That porch is my dream porch! Congrats on closing!

I’m so glad you posted Disney pics!! I’ve been waiting. I have a friend in Florida, and she was posting on FB about the rain… I didn’t put it together with your trip though, so bummer on the rain. I’m not a rain girl (San Diego suits me!). But it looks like you guys had so much fun anyway.
Woo HOOOOOO on the house!!! What fun you will have. And it sure is a wake up call to growing up, isn’t it?? Funny how things change when you own it.
And while your house is indeed beautiful… your mom is more beautiful. You look just like her! I’ve got 3 years till I’m 50, My fingers are crossed I will look as beautiful as she!
    Happy Weekend Raven.

Congratulations to you and your mom! As a 50+ year old, I can totally relate to your mom. Unless someone mentions how old my children are, I never think about how old I am. πŸ™‚
Congrats on the house to – there’s nothing like making a house a home. You’ll love it!
